She got us both clogs to wear, which I wore for years. Birgit and I got along, because we both spoke German as well. The last time I heard from her, she was visiting the Wannsee in Berlin with her boyfriend, Matts. She often referred to me by my nickname in Masquers, Stepan Stepanowitsch.
