Any personal information you provide to us including and similar to your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of Lost Trekkers unless the information is requested by Law/Authorities via a court order.

With the following exceptions. If you are posting ads for commercial advertising on the site and we have sent you an email to the email address you registered with asking you to stop posting commercial ads/informed you that we do not accept those types of ads and have deleted them. If you continue to post commercial ads (we assume that ads posted multiple times for the same company are being posted by 1 individual) then we will contact the companies you are posting ads for/on behalf of to inform them that the ads violate our terms of use, that ads need to be approved so the ones being posted will never be seen by anyone using the site.

It is against our policy for people to reply to ads if it is not related to the person the ad poster is looking for. Only reply to ads if you have information on the person being sought. Do not contact people for any other reason including looking for friends, dates or for advertising purposes.

Lost Trekkers reserves the right to refuse service for any reason. We reserve the right to delete ads for any reason. If someone has posted an ad looking for you and you do not wish to be found we will delete the ad if requested.

Lost Trekkers is not responsible for the content of external internet sites. There are several areas that contain links to other sites including but not limited to the "links" page and ad posters links to personal sites/blogs contained in their ads. You are advised to read the privacy policy of external sites before disclosing any personal information.

Lost Trekkers allows people to email ads to a friend and add their own message. The emails are sent from the webmaster@losttrekkers email address from the server. Lost Trekkers has no control over and takes no responsibility for the sending and or content of these messages or the messages sent in response to ads.

A "cookie" is a small data text file that is placed in your browser and allows Lost Trekkers to recognize you each time you login to this site. Cookies themselves do not contain any personal information and Lost Trekkers does not use cookies to collect personal information. External links from Lost Trekkers may have their own cookies which may be used to track how you entered their website. Check their privacy policy for information on cookies.

While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to Lost Trekkers and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information.

Lost Trekkers has no way of verifying the identities of the people who may contact you through the website.

Use discretion and caution when giving out any kind of information over the Internet! Information such as where you live, work, your phone number, last name etc. should only be given to people that you know and who's identity you can verify!

Advertisements are checked before they are posted to ensure they are not spam (work from home, company advertisements etc.) & to ensure the required fields are filled in and they are indexed correctly (country, city, month, year). You are solely responsible and liable for your communications and submissions (and the consequences) made under your name, user name, email address, password and your registration and profile information, if any. We run an automated language check throught the website, ads with offensive language (swearing) will be deleted. If you see any offensive material please report it to our Webmaster.

Lost Trekkers allows advertisement posters to include photographs with their submissions. Lost Trekkers reserves the right to reject photographs at our discretion. Please ensure that the photographs you submit are in good taste and do not contain people that are recognizable who are not aware that they are being photographed.

Lost Trekker ads are to be used by individuals looking for individuals. We will not accept ads that are advertisements for companies/places etc.. We would however be more than happy to consider a link exchange please email Link Requests.

Advertisement run time starts when an advertisement has been approved and has been posted live on the Lost Trekkers website.

Do not send any information about yourself to us - including information like your name, address or e-mail address. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The Lost Trekkers website has "tags" which work with your browser content controls/parental controls (if they are set up/activated) to restrict access to the website based on the content of the website and the criteria you base your website filtering on.

We reserve the right to change the terms of this Agreement or to modify any features of this Service at any time. By registering for this Service and/or continuing to use this Service after the posting of Notices regarding such changes, you agree to be bound by such changes.

This Service is available "as is." We do not warrant that this Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. There may be delays, omissions, interruptions and inaccuracies in the information or other materials available through this Service. If there is an interruption of service that is over 24 hours and due to issues on our end ad run times will be adjusted accordingly.
