MESSAGE: We are desperately trying to find Marie Win. Smith as an old friend from her days in London in 1974 has important news and is most eager to get in touch.
SMITH is her birth name and if Marie has since got married I do not know what her surname may now be.
It is believed that she lived in 1975 with Mr. A.W. Smith (presumably her parents) who along with his wife (Marie's mother) were said to be prominent people in Zimbabwe. Indeed the family may have originated there and only lived in Cape Town for a short while; it is not known.
Mr. A. W. Smith lived at Van Eyck Crescent, Bellville, and Marie had a post office box in Cape Town itself in 1975. It is believed that she later moved to Johannesburg and then back to London where in July 1977 was living at Lancaster Gate.
If anyone knows anything about her whereabouts or indeed can provide any information at all relating to her or to Mr. A.W. Smith who resided at Van Eyck Crescent, please do get in touch.
I can be reached at igaraparana@yahoo.com or by snail mail at 6 Regent Square, London, WC1H 8HZ, United Kingdom.
Hoping someone can help,
A. M. Bruce (Mrs.)
