MESSAGE: My great uncle, Mile Ivancic-Peranovic, born in Grabovica, Tomislavgrad, Bosnia Hercegovina, travelled to Persia (Iran) approximately in 1917, where he settled and married a local woman. They had one daughter. A friend who worked with him in Persia, Philip Saric, returned back to Croatia (then Yugoslavia) and told his relatives that upon his death, his beloved wife arranged for a very beautiful burial, and placed a large solid gold cross on his grave. A letter did arrive in the village asking whether there were any family members remaining of Mile, but due to the political nature of the country at that time, his relatives were afraid of coming forward. I am the grand-daughter of Mile's brother's son, and am currently working on a family tree. I would be amazed if anyone had any information on my great uncle, and very grateful indeed. We have had to put some safety measures in place to deter spammers & robots from sending messages, in some cases it may block legitimate replies.
