MESSAGE: I am looking for my birth father whom my mother had met back in 1982 in Halifax. From what I heard about him was that he was an engineer or electrician on a ship that was docked there. His last known address was in Piraeus, Greece in amfiali area. He should be in his early 60's now, and I've asked people online if they were related to him but to no luck. Myself, my mom and my wife flew to Greece for a little holiday and had a little help with calling around to find him, but no luck there either, and a huge language barrier. His birth name should be either Athanasios Kliafas, or Anastasios. My mom ad stopped talking to him a couple of years later after I was born, his last known ship port that he was at was either in Japan or China. It is near impossible to find him without knowing where to look and cannot speak the language. If anyone can help it would be highly appreciated. You have no idea. If you submit the form & get sent to an error page, hit your back button and try taking out some of the punctuation.
